There are many kinds of bears, they cuddly ones we all grew up playing with is not the subject of this song. The bears of politics who sit in the dark plotting a comeback to power as they have been all forced out with the Arab Spring.
Eskenderella, the cool band of Egyptian rock and pop dedicated a song for those figures, they lampooned them and brought them down to size. I like the brainy kind of music played by Eskenderella, they fuse music and voices in a very entertaining way. They have female vocalists and dudes playing music.
While many Egyptian bands are trying to escape the political songs, Eskenderella is doubling down and doing more of these songs about Egypt as the situation remains fluid. I must give these guys a shoutout for still making an effort to educate people with their cynical songs.
